Steve Balbi

Steve Balbi, one of Sydney’s leading and most respected songwriters will be performing at the Camden Valley Inn.
Steve made his start in the band Rose Tatoo, and later moved into the famous Australian band Noiseworks playing bass. Balbi’s career spans over many years, and during his time has worked with many big names such as David Bowie, Tom Jones, Jenny Morris and Michael Hutchence just to mention a few. His music has also seen him receive three ARIA Double Platinum records, and three ARIA Gold Records.
In recent years, Balbi has undertaken a new original project, the group Move Trees, alongside Scott Aplin, Pete Skelton and Doug Aplin.

The Acoustics.
The Acoustics, are a two piece acoustic duo with an impressive repertoire, and a huge local following. The pair reside in the Camden area and currently have a number of local bookings, and gigs near and far. During their set, you’ll hear influences from such bands as The Kooks, Kings of Leon, Oasis, Billy Joel, Coldplay, The Whitlams and The Foo Fighters and also a vast variety of covers.

Jemma Beech.
Jemma Beech is only 17 years of age and Loves the path she’s taking! Jemma lives in a small town called Yanderra in the southern Highlands, New South Wales. She loves to play her guitar and sing music from most genres, especially Country, and hopes to please people of all tastes and ages.
Jemma has worked hard for the past 2 years in preparing herself for the Music Industry and its expectations. She is a vibrant young girl who is willing to perform to her full potential. Jemma has played at many venues around the local area, such as Bargo Hotel, Bargo Sports club, Picton Bowling Club , Camden Valley Inn and Imperial Hotel, to name a few. Many charity functions and lots of talent quests around the country.
Jemma has just been to Tamworth for the Country Music Festival and received a first prize in a ‘walk up’ of $1000 with Amelia Richards who often partners up with Jemma in a duo named the ‘Country Charms’. She was also a finalist for the 14-17yrs Vocalist Section and Open Duo Section, in the ‘Capital Country Music Association” Talent Quest, and the support act for Tracy Killeen and Ronnie Ray Rivers whilst there.
Jemma has many goals set for her future, but the one that stands out the most is to become a well-known Artist, in her own right. She also has written a number of songs and excited to be taking the journey of becoming a talented singer/songwriter and guitarist.

Dan Spillane.
With influences ranging from Donny Hathaway, Van Morrison, Beatles, Peter Gabriel and so many more. You can expect a wide selection of Jazz, Pop, Rock, Soul, Modern and Classics standards to be performed by this young musician. Without a doubt, Dan Spillane has a certain brilliance to his voice and his ability to entertain his audience makes for a very special show.
Dan's style of soft, smooth and silky tunes can be appreciated up close and personal at some of Sydney's Northern Beaches up market restaurants and Bars - A place where he now calls home. Honoring the greats and injecting his own improvisation, Dan’s skills stretch to the upbeat, high energy and entertaining side of the music industry.

Lawrence Baker.
Lawrence started playing the guitar at age 13 and penned his first song at age 16. His first live appearance was a hospital fund raiser when he was 20. At 23 Lawrence was touring the nation with a band known as the Glass Cannons. In those 5 years of touring the band was support for headline artists such as Suzi Q, Wendy Mathews, The Party Boys, the Chantoozies, Big Pig and many more.
A solo acoustic 5 track ep was recorded at a local studio and over 1,000 copies were sold on the Coast alone. 2001 saw the birth of Lone Wolf and the Bad Boys. The band comprised members from the unplugged sessions at Lawrence's Central Coast club and also a group of musicians from Sydney.
Two years in the making and 14 tracks of the heart, soul and spirit of the Lone Wolf is here. With a few web radios, Jay Leno and David Letterman having copies of the CD an international tour is on the horizon. The music is likened to that of Springsteen, Tom Petty, John Mellencamp, Bon Jovi and Bryan Adams making it appreciated by a large audience, especially in the States.

Tori Darke.
TORI DARKE has won many awards including Tamworth Country Music Festival, as the winner of the NSW NEW TALENT OF THE YEAR, GOLDEN MEDALION AWARD, Runner-up in the Telstra Road To Tamworth Song Writers Competition, A 2009 CMAA College Graduate, CCMA Junior Champion for Best Young Talent, s awarded The Queensland Champion of Champions Song-Writing Award, raduated from Tamworth’s Camerata College and won the Toyota Maton Talent Search at the Toyota National Country Music Muster. As well as being a finalist in many other award catagories, 2010 has never looked so good!
With the release of her debut EP in 2009, recorded with renowned musician and producer Simon Johnson, features some of Australia’s leading musicians, and has been met with great interest from the country music industry and fans alike. In the years leading up to her debut release, Tori traveled extensively throughout Australia, with supports for THE MCCLYMONTS, JETTY ROAD and AMBER LAWRENCE. As part of a major prize for her music, Tori was invited to perform at the Merritt Mountain Country Music Festival in Canada where she opened for KENNY CHESNEY. Continuing on her Canadian Tour, Tori also performed along-side DOC WALKER, JO DEE MESSINA, JOHNNY REID, PAUL BRANT and THE STEVE MILLER BAND. While overseas, Tori headed to Nashville and Los Angeles to spend time writing with esteemed songwriters John Bettis (Madonna, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston) & Robin Bruce (LeAnne Rimes, Jo Dee Messina) and had the privilege of writing with Michael Davey and Andrew Dorff (Martina McBride) who wrote Tori’s first single CRAWL.

Luke Koteras.
Brought up by music-loving parents, Luke was fed a steady diet of Jeff St John, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Beatles, Nirvana, John Farnham, Renee Gayer and Red Hot Chilli Peppers. As a lad, Luke won many trophies and awards as an outstanding guitar-playing talent before going on to complete his music studies at the Australian Institute of Music. Luke plays a blend of new age acoustic music with a modern flavour, occasionally mixing it up with a bit of electric guitar. Luke toured China in 2004 with jazz funk outfit 'dlivr' before touring as a solo artist across UK, Europe, Africa and Thailand. LK has guested on John Brownrigg's LP 'Crossroads' with jazz Hammond playing legend Col Nolan. Luke has opened for awe-inspiring Aussie acts such Normie Rowe, Jon Stevens, The Androids, Operator Please, Dead Letter Circus, Dragon, Diesel and soul legend Renee Gayer.

Sam and Jamie Show
Since moving to Sydney from Melbourne in 2001 the S&J Show have built up a solid reputation as being the finest (and hardest working, averaging 250 shows per year) acoustic duo in Sydney with regular residencies at many well known Sydney venues. Their original songs and original versions of cover songs are dramatic and intriguing, visually amazing and always entertaining. Fast fingers, crazy guitar tricks, intense vocals and sweet harmonies are the only way to describe the S&J show. The Sam & Jamie show began in Sydney at the world famous ‘Hard Rock Café’ where they held down a weekly Friday night residency for 5 years. Like the gold records on the wall they became apart of the establishment and are well known to all who have visited the HRC. S&J have supported many great Australian artists such as Invertigo, Christine Anu, Jack Jones, Diesel and Richard Clapton just to name a few.
The Harrisons
The Harrison's are brother and sister Glen and Kaylee from Schofields in Sydney's Northwest. This dynamic duo has been performing together for two years and is fast making a name for themselves in the music industry. Recent performances have seen them opening for artists such as Adam Harvey, Mike Carr and Dianna Corcoran. In March 2010 they were thrilled to be invited to perform at the CMC Rocks the Snowys Festival in Thredbo alongside local and international artists. Featuring close knit harmonies, Kaylee's emotive vocal and Glen's soulful guitar, the pair presents a contemporary country / rock / pop sound with influences from Rascal Flats to Dire Straits and The Eagles to Lady Antebellum. Glen and Kaylees’ talent has been recognised by some of Australia’s best singer/songwriters and as a result has lead to some amazing collaborations which will feature on their forthcoming EP. The Harrison's were 2009 finalists in the CCMA Quest at Tamworth and the Open Talent Quest at the Urban Country Music Festival, prize winners in the 2009 Jazzer Quests and Winners of the Cool Country 2KA Search for a Star Talent Quest. The Harrison's are looking forward to playing to music fans in 2010 while continuing to write and collate new material.
PJ from Black Water Irish Band
In the early years PJ was influenced by his grandfather, a professional fiddle player who played traditional Irish Music. PJ started playing the guitar at an early age and in the 70's progressed to support the rock bands Gary Moore .Thin Lizzy .Eric Bell The Sweet and Marmalade to name but a few. PJ has played with Irish Rock Bands in Dublin, Galway, and London and then gradually progressed to Irish Music. A full time professional musician and passionate about guitars, is style is influenced by the greats - Chet Atkins, Django Reinhardt and Eric Clapton. PJ plays a variety of styles - Finger Picking, Jazz, the Blues and of course Irish Folk music. A resident of Australia since 1990, he is an established and respected guitarist on the Irish music scene throughout Sydney and Australia. PJ has played for a number of famous people including the President of Ireland Mary McAleese. He also played at the film premier of Michael Collins with Liam Neeson and for Tourism Ireland at Martin Place on St Patrick's Day combined with Channel 9.
